Posted : Taeyeon, a member of Girl's Generation, reveals she is receiving medical treatment for depression, Sunday. Taeyeon disclosed her illness during an "Ask me anything" session with her fans. For most of the questions received she replied with just "No," and some fans showed dissatisfaction at her brief replies. One fan asked, "How do you overcome hard times? Her dad was a vocalist in a band, and mom had won children's song competitions when she was young.
Taeyeon's parents are very supportive. They let their children decide for themselves. Because of that, Taeyeon learned to take care of things on her own. Her Father once said, Taeyeon, ever since, has always been taeyeon Calm. Her brother once said, when Taeyeon was in middle school, she was already an ahjumma.
She has also appeared in reality television shows such as My Brilliant Life and S. Town The Stage. Taeyeon did voice acting for Margo in the Despicable Me movie, alongside Seohyun who also voiced a character in the movie. Taeyeon resides in South Korea, she lives with her pet dog named Zero.
